i3 2018: Week One Highlights

The 2018 Introductory Institute is off to an exciting start! We welcomed our newest cohort of 27 students from 16 different states and territories and 22 colleges and universities. We also welcomed 14 guest speakers who ran workshops introducing research and topic areas within the field. In addition to academic workshops, i3 Scholars built resumes and cover letters, practiced interviewing, and explored local attractions.

Alumni Feature: Rachel Ollivierre

As she prepares to graduate with her master's from Carnegie Mellon's Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, Rachel Ollivierre (i3 2016) has accepted a Marketing Research and Analytics position at Merck. In this feature, Rachel shares how her observations as an EMT sparked a passion for leveraging technology to address critical healthcare challenges. She reflects on her journey from i3 to graduate school, and the role i3 played in what is sure to be an exciting and impactful career in healthcare marketing analytics.

i3 2018: Week Two Highlights

Week 2 of the 2018 Introductory Institute is in the books! We were thrilled to welcome our four PhD Teaching Fellows, Brooke Auxier (University of Maryland), Kolina Koltai (University of Texas at Austin), Brittany Ann Kos (University of Colorado Boulder), and Mustafa Hussain (University of California, Irvine). These scholars arrived to teach our i3 scholars two-week Research Design and Programming Modules.
