A total of six projects were submitted to iConference 2016 for publication; five from the 2014 cohort and one from the 2015 cohort. iConference 2016 will be hosted by Drexel University’s College of Computing and Informatics from March 20-23. Research projects included investigations of media coverage of the Sony hack, mobile applications used by adults with autism, sentiment and product analysis in online reviews of consumer electronics, reproductive rights and social media usage, indoor wayfinding for people with mobility impairments, and the interoperability of sex offender databases.

After successfully completing the Concluding Institute, the 2014 Scholars worked with i3 advisors over the summer to summarize their yearlong projects in 1500 word research poster abstracts. Official iConference notifications regarding poster reviews are expected by mid-November. The iSchool Inclusion Institute looks forward to supporting its scholars in another strong showing at iConference.

Special thanks to the i3 Research Advisors for their generous support and guidance!
